About the event
The Black Girls are Magic Sisterhood Summit is a day-long activation for girls ages 13 to 18 with a focus on cultivating strong interpersonal skills, bolstering confidence and mitigating the effects of social isolation from Covid-19. This Sisterhood Summit is an extension of the conversations started during our annual Black Girls are Magic Conference in May.
Our goal is to bring together Black teenage girls from throughout Atlanta to meet, learn and connect about topics that directly impact their experience. This summit serves as the first time many of the girls and young women in our community will have met each other in person. The retreat is facilitated by Danielle Lyles Barton of Blooming All Over who will bring her expertise in facilitation, healing modalities and restorative practices to shape the offerings of this retreat.
