Hey, I just got home from a dentist appointment with my seven-year-old. We were not satisfied with the appointment. Five of his baby teeth are crowded. The dentist said that his remaining teeth should be extracted very soon.
My son is extremely anxious about dental procedures. I find it very difficult to manage him while going to dental clinics. The dentist recommended putting him completely under IV sedation. I had an IV sedation during the extraction of my wisdom teeth. I had amazing results. But, I am concerned about my little boy. He never had an anesthesia of any kind in his entire life. Are there any risks or caveats I should know? Would it be better to stick with oral anesthetic? Help!
My husband asked to consult a dentist in Oshawa if my son is not feeling comfortable with the old dentist. I am confused. What should I do now?
