My grandpa lives alone in an apartment in Quebec. There is a maid who comes every day for cleaning and preparing food for him. However, I stay in Toronto and I feel very bad that I cannot stay with him. I can't even visit him regularly because of my hectic job. It's been a long time since I have seen him. Recently, he called me and he wasn't responding to what I was asking. I thought he was busy with something and I hang up on him. But the next day also the same thing happened. I just called his maid and enquired about this. She revealed that he is suffering from hearing loss. He always asks her to speak louder and she also mentioned that my grandfather couldn't hear me when I was talking to him on phone. I am planning to take him back to Toronto and consult a hearing professional. Is there any surgery for hearing loss? Will hearing aids help him? Share your suggestions. Thanks!!
