Hi, I have tooth cavities and one of my tooth extracted. I want to know whether is another way to reduce the number of cavities? I was advised by my friend that to use fluorides to rinse. But as a bit of preface, I am a survivor of leukemia. As part of radiation my bone density is is lower as considered to others. My teeth are misshapen and have short roots. I am planning to take general dentistry service from a clinic in Toronto. As my friend suggested I have started to chew sugar-free gums, brush twice in a day and to use Listerine which contains more fluorides. Moreover, I have started drink 4 glasses of milk a day. I have even reduced my soft drink habit. Will this steps can reduce my teeth decay? Are there more things that I can do to reduce or avoid cavities in the future.
