Black Girls Smile's Response to Silicon Valley Bank Collapse

Last week, the banking industry was disrupted when media outlets reported that Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), one of the top U.S. banking institutions for the tech industry, collapsed. This news caused concern for tech and startups and expanded to other small businesses and nonprofits.
We have been assessing the situation closely, and currently, Black Girls Smile Inc.’s financial interest is not affected by this development. Operations will continue to serve the community we care about, young Black women and girls.
Black Girls Smile will continue to monitor any effects had on our donors, corporate sponsors, and local partners and quickly provide information if there is any need to alter our program offerings and services.
